Durreen began her career in the social sector at Grameen Bank (Bangladesh) where she played a critical role in the bank’s first major capital raising exercise. At World Bank (Washington, D.C.) Durreen evaluated non-performing loan portfolios for the East Africa Department and at the International Finance Corporation she assisted in selling Ashanti, the largest gold mine in the world for the Ghanian government.

In the private sector, Durreen worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley (New York) and Merrill Lynch (Hong Kong) before moving to the media sector. As the head of three regional media companies (Asia City Publishing Group, Hearst Magazines International and Reader’s Digest Asia), Durreen worked vigorously to incorporate social responsibility into these companies’ work.

Durreen holds a BA from Smith College (double major in Economics and Government); and a joint graduate degree — MBA from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (Finance) and MA from School for Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University (International Economics and International Relations). Recently Durreen was nominated as one of the Young Leaders of Asia by Asia Society.

Durreen was also selected as one of the 25 TED fellows, which spoke at TED 2010 in Long Beach, California.

Nadira’s films have screened at the Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane, Australia and Filmmakers Anonymous Kuala Lumpur. She most recently wrote ‘Creatures’ for Bernice Chauly in conjunction with HerStory Films. ‘Creatures’ has toured nationwide, including cities such as Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu.

She describes her work as experimental-narrative and is currently working on her feature script titled ‘Wilderness’, which was expanded at the Berlinale Talent Campus’ Scriptwriters Station in 2011.

The result is a new kind of publishing company; one that merges software, mixed media, video, and social networks to put authors in the personal development movement in front of the internet generation while bypassing traditional media like printed books.

Vishen is also a highly sought after speaker and consultant in the art of attracting top talent, growing employees and creating a healthy work culture. He has shared the stage with Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield and many other top speakers and authors.

As a highly successful online entrepreneur, Vishen is constantly offered speaking engagements regarding the world of internet business building. He has spoken at events with Tony Robbins, Sir Richard Branson, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Jack Canfield, President F.W DeKlerk and other luminaries.

Described as 93.8 Live’s “Passion People”, Yap trekked across 100km across the world’s largest non-polar Taklamakan desert to raise awareness for the millennium development goals in Singapore.

He is the Secretary-General of the United Nations Association of Singapore, and founded it’s vibrant youth group. He was selected as one of Singapore’s Young Outstanding Singaporeans in 2011.

Yap will talk about “Spaces and Choices”. He believes these elements will shape outcomes in societies and spur volunteerism.

Believing that a merciful God allows us many ways to reach Him, Anas has strong convictions that all who do good work will go to heaven. A businessman and a writer, he sits on the Industry Advisory Board of Sunway University’s School of Business; is an honorary member of Yayasan 1Malaysia and is secretary-general of the International Movement for a Just World (JUST).

Heavily inspired by spoken word poets around the world, from slam poets to Def Poetry to the articulate & emotive local African poets at Poet’s Passport, he writes about the the challenges that the country & it’s people face in its pursuit for progress & Wawasan 2020 in a way that he hopes will one day help form a unique “voice” that is Malaysian spoken word.
