Managing Director of Minerva Schools
Kenn is the Managing Director for Asia at the Minerva Project, a completely reimagined university experience for the world’s brightest and most motivated students. Seed-funded with USD 25 million by Silicon Valley VC Benchmark Capital (which also funded Instagram, Ebay and Twitter) and academically headed by the former Harvard Dean of Social Sciences, Minerva’s unique educational model is touted as one of the boldest experiments in higher education today.
Kenn is also the founder of HFR Veritas, a platform promoting non-cognitive skills-based education in China. In addition, he also founded the International Foundation for the Promotion of Academic Soft Skills (IFPASS), a US-based nonprofit organisation.
He is widely recognised in China for his involvement in international education and passionate desire to cultivate the next generation of global leaders. Prior to this, Kenn has held executive positions in Fortune 30 and mid-sized multinational companies in the clean energy, technology, and consulting industries.
Originally from the United States, Kenn has lived in Asia for 20 years, is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, and has travelled extensively to countries in the region. He holds degrees from Middlebury College, John Hopkins University, and Harvard Business School.
